Overcrowding question: Do teeth move back to their original positions after wisdom teeth removal?

I've got some minor - moderate overcrowding due to my wisdom teeth (I've got all 4 of them)

After 3 years of putting it off, I'm now getting them removed b/c the crowding is getting worse - as I'm typing this out I am literally feeling my teeth shift.

Do teeth move back to their original positions after wisdom teeth removal? or am I going to have to invest in some Invisalign to regain my perfect smile.

Overcrowding question: Do teeth move back to their original positions after wisdom teeth removal?
I've had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled at once and my other permanent teeth did not shift. However, at the time, I didn't have a problem with crowding. Even if your teeth does shift, it won't be to the extreme where it will go to its respectable place and become straight. I would recommend getting braces because they do a wonder when it comes to overcrowding and it will be well worth it :)
Reply:Your teeth will indeed move once there is room. This movement of teeth is the very basis for braces.
Reply:What did your dentist who took them out say looks like you might need braces
Reply:YES , YOUR GUMS SHRINK BACK TO WHERE IT WAS BEFORE YOU HAD WISDOM TEETH
Reply:I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed when I was 18, just BEFORE I had my braces removed. Then by the time I was 25 some of my lower teeth crowded together. So certainly removing your wisdom teeth still won't guarantee that you will avoid crowding.
Reply:They will move some. But possibly not enough. Talk to your dentist about it.
Reply:No your teeth will not move after you have your wisdom teeth removed. If you want them straight then you will have to get braces or invisalign (if you qualify for them).
