Can you get teeth attachments at the dentist to bring far-set teeth forwards so teeth appear straight?

I want my top set of teeth to look straight, and at the moment they are nearly straight apart from the two teeth on either side of the front two teeth have been pushed back a little.

Can you get attachments at the dentist that go on teeth so sort of fill in the gap, so the tooth its going on is still there and healthy, but attached without pulling out teeth, or even having injections, just sort of stuck on?

I don't even know if this is possible, I just thought that would be perfect for me if it were as I never want to have injections or teeth out if i can help it!

Would be great to have advise, and If this is possible, does anyone know where I could get it done and how much it would cost? Or if its not done, if any dentists know if its possible to do anyway?! Thanks!! x

If the front teeth are ahead of the teeth adjacent to the front teeth, you probably could use orthodontics. See an orthodontist for an estimate for treatment.

If there is just a gap between the teeth, you may consider veneers which are similar to an artificial nail--your tooth goes underneath and the veneer is built around and layered on. Check with the dentist for that.

I had a chipped tooth, the dentist just used filling resin to shape an "extension" on the tooth, shaped it, and i has been in place now for 22 years. It was less expensive than a veneer would be.

I think the dentist built up the inside edges of the two teeth with resin so that they would meet. Notice the top of the front teeth still have a little gap. I don't think these were full-fledged veneers as the gap would have been totally covered.
Reply:well, you can get anything these days, so whyever not? search it online and find out as much as you can!
Reply:Yea, its called veneers, or lumineers. only thing is its VERY expensive about 3000-4000 per tooth (usd) AND sometimes they only last 10-20 yrs. Veneers would actually sand down your own teeth to put acrylic of some sort on your tooth, and lumineers just puts the acrylic on and is much safer. look up www.lumineers.com for more info.
Reply:Caps would do it, but maybe there are other ways. If I were you I would get opinions from a few different dentists, because sometimes they just want to do the most expensive work possible. You might want to consider keeping the gap. I heard from a reliable source that guys find it attractive.
Reply:I would recommend seeing a dentist about this, and possibly get a referral to an orthodontist. Just sticking something on the front of those teeth is a bad idea, especially if it is going to have to be extremely thick to come out to the level of the 2 front teeth. When something extremely thick gets placed on a tooth, plaque accumulation and gum health in the area are of great concern. Veneers and Lumineers are not intended to change the thickness of teeth, only the appearance of teeth, and sometimes the width (left to right, not front to back) of the teeth. An orthodontist will be able to move your teeth with braces into alignment. They do this without injections, and generally, without removing teeth. Unfortunately, the process can take months or years and cost several thousand dollars. And for your reference, veneers can cost up to $1200 per tooth. We charge $825 per tooth at my office. It really depends on where you are in the country. I have friends in NYC and LA who charge $1200-$1500 per tooth for Lumineers. Good luck, and see a dentist! I hope this helps.
