Has anyone ever heard of such an EXTEMEME case Never developing adult teeth?

My 8 yr old son has only 4 adult teeth and NONE in his future! He is PERFECTLY healthy otherwise. NO other syndroms...perfect hair skin and nails! I"ve heard of not getting a "few" of them BUT not 28! They want to poke and prod him now because it is so unusual! PLEASE tell me someother perfectly healthy children this has happened to. My worse fear is that there WILL be some type of connected syndrom that just has not reared it's head yet.

My great grandmother kept her baby teeth her entire life. I only pulled 3 or four teeth out when I was little. The roots of my baby teeth never went away so I had to get them all pulled by the dentist. My last baby teeth had to be pulled out when I was 11 or 12. My teeth are fine now after braces and such. I would definitely get a different opinion. He's only eight.

Reply:We just had someone in our office today who doesn't have any adult teeth. She is 16 and still has her baby teeth and there are no adult teeth at all waiting to come up.
Reply:My sister had the same thing. She never had adult teeth and it wasn't discovered until she was about 14. She eventually had to get dentures and likes them alot better than all the other stuff they made her do (braces, etc.). She is now 29 and alot happier.
