My 2 front teeth are wider and about 2 mm longer than the others and I HATE THEM SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could get them filed down I would be so happy with my smile and it would be basically perfect. I actually try not to smile that much because i hate it so much! :( and I know other people notice but are just way to kind to say anything!!! But I have been made fun of before... I asked my dentist's assistant (i think they're called hygentists) a while ago if she would file them down but said I was too young and offered orthodonics to pull down the teeth around them to make it seem more level. So I got a consult with a orthodonist who said he could do that, but then he also said that he could file them down! My parents didn't get me braces because they are not going to pay $3,000 to just correct that and nothing else because the rest of my teeth are straight! So one says no, one says yes. I am confused and I would like to do something about it this summer before highschool.
I am 13, is there still time for me to "grow into my teeth"??
calm down.
you'll still be able to grow into them.
your whole body doesn't stop growing until your 25.
i think that includes your teeth.
in the meantime don't be afraid to smile.
u look worse when you try to hide it and better when your more confident. also try drinking more milk. lol :D
Reply:Thumbs up Lina is right you still have a long way to go before you are fully grown. Your body is still changing.
Reply:I think you should get a second opinion. At 13 Im pretty sure your done with the teeth growing. If your old enough to get braces your old enough to get your teeth filed. I personally think you should be happy with yourself the way you are BUT if it will boost your confidence then go for it and get those bad boys filed.

Has anyone ever heard of such an EXTEMEME case Never developing adult teeth?
My 8 yr old son has only 4 adult teeth and NONE in his future! He is PERFECTLY healthy otherwise. NO other syndroms...perfect hair skin and nails! I"ve heard of not getting a "few" of them BUT not 28! They want to poke and prod him now because it is so unusual! PLEASE tell me someother perfectly healthy children this has happened to. My worse fear is that there WILL be some type of connected syndrom that just has not reared it's head yet.

Has anyone ever heard of such an EXTEMEME case Never developing adult teeth?
My great grandmother kept her baby teeth her entire life. I only pulled 3 or four teeth out when I was little. The roots of my baby teeth never went away so I had to get them all pulled by the dentist. My last baby teeth had to be pulled out when I was 11 or 12. My teeth are fine now after braces and such. I would definitely get a different opinion. He's only eight.
Reply:I would get a second and third option before you let them do anything to your son, be sure he is seeing a peds-dds
Reply:We just had someone in our office today who doesn't have any adult teeth. She is 16 and still has her baby teeth and there are no adult teeth at all waiting to come up.
Reply:My sister had the same thing. She never had adult teeth and it wasn't discovered until she was about 14. She eventually had to get dentures and likes them alot better than all the other stuff they made her do (braces, etc.). She is now 29 and alot happier.

I have what some would call buck teeth...reason for not being able to "nab" a guy?
They're not terribly hillbilly, haha. When my mouth is closed, I look just fine. However, when I open my mouth, it's apparent I have a less than perfect set of chompers. I'm by no means a dog-faced girl, myspace is .com/the_alchemy_of_cinema if you want to judge for yourself. I've just been wondering if that's the reason I haven't had a boyfriend for the past three years, and if the person I've been "hearting" for the duration isn't interested. I know him to be a little superficial when it comes to these things, as I hear him on an everyday basis talking about "oh she's cute, except for her teeth, ew, etc." Am I really suffering from romantically superficial strife?
I have what some would call buck teeth...reason for not being able to "nab" a guy?
Can't find your profile but i doubt its your teeth. I quite like women who have those kind of mouths. Sounds more like your friend is a little insecure.

My view of the perfect guy. Anyone fit this? =]?
I strongly agree with #28. Don't listen to these people, almost everyone finds the perfect person for themselves or they just settle, and the people who settle are usually not happy. I don't see a problem with setting high standards and there's not one person on here that doesn't have some sort of standard for what they are looking for in there mate. I will say some are far fetched like the blinking to much but again everyone has thing's that bug them to death. I wish you luck in your search. Please reply if you like. P.S. to all the stupid people that's the perfect man for her not a perfect man in god's eye's!

"must like football"? i mean, so u won't like anyone who doesn't like football. i think u're zoning in on the tiny details. when u meet a good guy he's not going to be perfect. u're going to have to work at the relationship. it sounds like u want your true love to be a mirror of u! isn't that creepy? don't u want to be able to share your passions and learn from each other not be exactly the same?

Good idea to wait because of uneven teeth?
I'm vietnamese and the girl I really like is Hispanic. We been taking the same public bus for more than a year now. But we never talked. She's so perfect and beautiful and I don't want to make a mistake, because if I do then I might lose her forever. My teeth is not straight, not even whatever, but six months from now it'll be straight thanks to rapidbraces. I want to talk to her but I'm afraid that she might pull back when she see my teeth. Should I talk to her the next time i see her or wait 6 months from now?

Can Permanent Dental Bar on Lower Teeth be Removed? Its Bent...?
When I was a younger teenager I had braces, when they were removed a wire was left behind my lower row of teeth. I was told it'd be there forever. Well.. I just bent it eating a carrot and now I feel pressure on my teeth. Its alot of money to see a dentist but I hope to save some money by just having it removed, I'm currently 22 and had the braces removed over 7 years ago. Can the wire be removed or will it have to be straightened? To be honest I'm considering removing it myself to avoid dropping 500 bucks to have them do the same thing I would... so... I know in a perfect world I'd just go see a dentist, but seriously what am I lookin' at here?
Can Permanent Dental Bar on Lower Teeth be Removed? Its Bent...?
Oh gosh, don't remove it yourself, you'll definitely leave pieces of the bonding material behind, it needs to be taken off with a dental drill. I'm not sure that it can be re-bent back into shape. If you get it removed, there is a chance that your teeth could shift out of shape again, which would be a shame considering all the time you spent wearing braces.
Reply:HELLO ANDREW,
THIS IS A PERMANENT RETAINER DESIGNED TO MAINTAIN YOUR TEETH STRAIGHT FOREVER.
RATHER THAN REMOVING IT CONSIDER HAVING THE WIRE REPAIRED

The perfect kiss?
How would you describe the perfect kiss? For me, it's just enough tongue but not too much, slow and sweet and passionate. I hate when guys lick your face, shove their tongue down your throat, or kiss with their mouths practically shut. And bad breath or junk in your teeth? No thanks!!
The perfect kiss?
Oh my the perfect kiss, well it would have to be all the right things in one place, and by no means do I think its a specific place I think it would be nice to be with someone who enjoys a sunset or sunrise after an enjoyable evening or morning...lol. But when your lips meet you should feel the energy flowing between your lips, your body gets hot your face gets flushed and you feel your pulse rise and this isn't just this one kiss but every kiss you enjoy with this person................Is there anybody that needs a kiss out there????????????
Reply:Completely agree :)
Reply:ive never kissed anyone before :(
Reply:You know when it makes you hot and red. Its the kind of kiss thats....perfect. Its that kind thats soft and passionate. Man I want a man to kiss right now. LOL

The Perfect Dog?
Alright guys, I've done it. I bred the perfect dog. Here's how:
Poodle x Basenji. This eliminated barking and shedding. I had to breed with Teacup Poodles several times to make sure it was less than 2 pounds as an adult.
Basenpoo x Cat. This resulted in the mother teaching the puppies to use a litter box, so no potty training required by the owner.
Yorkies x Chinese Cresteds, inbreeding so the genes were amplified, and created a dog whose teeth fall out by 6 months. This way, the dog cannot bite anybody.
YorkieCrest x Basenpookitty cross.
YorCreBasenpookitty x Border Collie, so the dog will be amazingly trainable.
YorCreBasenpookittycollie x Teacup Poodle - back to the 2lb size.
And now... I am proud to say I can offer you a hypoallergenic, 2lb dog that does not bark, shed, bite, or need housebreaking or training. They love kids, can stay alone for 12 hours a day, and do not require exercise. They cost $2,000 and will be ready for Christmas.
Who wants one?
The Perfect Dog?
very funny...lol
The sad thing is, someone here will actually believe it and want to contact you.
Even worse, they might take notes and give it a try.

They do not shed, drool, or bite. They are hypoallergenic, they are less than 2 pounds.. they are great with kids and dont need any exercize or training. Not only are they easy to housebreak, they DONT POOP!!!! You can take them everywhere. They are also very healthy and have absolutly no health issues.. they dont even need to see the vet!
You can find them at your local Toys R Us, Walmart, Target, KMart.... LOL

Perfect Date - Ugly Guy?
I had blind date on Saturday - arranged for me by a mutual friend. It was fabulous and we talked for 5 hours and were both very relaxed, open and honest -- the conversation was fantastic.
He is very keen for a relationship at this point but I am unsure if I should date him again as he is not very attractive physically. I wish this was not the case but he had missing teeth and was not very easy on the eyes.
My co-workers think I am an idiot as he sounds like a perfect match but I can't get past his unattractiveness.
He feels very strongly for me and will wait for as long as it takes and there is no doubt that there is a great understanding and similiarities between us.
Am I shallow? I am trying to justify this in my own mind in other ways but this is the primary reason.
Perfect Date - Ugly Guy?
I know, this might be a basic answer you get, but if this guy is good then you shouldn't care about his looks. I understand this is usually an element of liking someone, but this guy sounds good for you. I would give him another chance and see if hes the one. :) I hope I helped.
Reply:yup youre shallow. external beauty does not last a lifetime. internal beauty, however, does.
Reply:It's hard, everyone has a right to date someone they are attracted to but at the same time you should never judge anyone on their looks. You might miss the love of your life if you do. Maybe as you grow closer he will feel self conscious and fix his teeth or you may casually bring it up after awhile. you might never find a man with his qualities again so make sure you can't get passed his looks.
Reply:deff. shallow but see if he is good in bed before you decide anything
Reply:HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...
im sorry but you were wiiiiiiiiiiiide open with that one.
give the toothless guy a chance, you can learn to love him and he's probably an excellent lover.
Reply:A little but looks are part of the attraction also if you feel nothing physical for him then you should break it off now before it goes to far just be honest with him.
Reply:At first I thought ok thought ok you were pretty shallow until you said " he has missing teeth." Then I thought what the hell is wrong with your friend to set you up with a toothless guy damn what must she think of you. In the end why not just be friends with him only. It's not a rule that you have to date him, be his friend and if he can't accept that then that's his lost not yours. being physically attracted to someone is important just as much as being mentally attracted.
Reply:No you are not shallow but beauty is within try another time with this guy if you could talk for 5hrs with all the good things, with time you will be past the unattractiveness.
Reply:Hello, When my mom let me date already, i will never, never, never date a guy with out some of his teeth. It's just, I don't think I can hold my laughter and I don't want to offend people that way. It will not going to be romantic - my lost. But that's me. In your case, maybe he can fix his teeth if he had a dental insurance before asking anybody anybody out.??? If this is not making you comfortable and you are embarrash, don't date him until he had his tooth fix.
Reply:I don't think you are shallow. When God looks at us I believe he only sees our hearts. You really need to see this guys heart then decide. Not all but with most good looking guys comes arrogance. And again not all but most good looking guys are jerks. You have to decide what is top on your list of a mate. And I do think there is a middle ground. Just don't hurt this guys feelings. I am sure someone out there would find him attractive.
Reply:i wouldn't necessarily call u shallow because honestly people look at looks, it counts for plus minus 30%-50% of the overall attraction.
we human and its difficult to change what we are use to doing. but it y'all intellectual chemistry is there i say he is worth the shot don't u think??
because exterior outlooks can be changed internal is more difficult. once ur relationship grows u can help him without him losing self-confidence and the natural inner being
Reply:it's quite difficult to find a perfect match as Mr Right and we should not also judge the book from its cover but attractiveness also has to be there as it is a vital factor in the physical side of a relationship. great thing is that yu both understand each other so maybe you could kindly advise him to have his missing teeth etc replaced and then see how it goes. I don't think so u are shallow...attractiveness is not a vital part but is as important to have a good relationship...
Reply:wow are you ever shallow. looks don't make a life for you.he may be the best you will ever get. do as your heart tells you
Reply:Given time, he'd probably grown on you even more. You know this. Besides his looks can be fixed. Even if he never rises to your level, he'll be appreciative enough to treat you well and worship you. Your inside (vanity) probably matches his outward undesirability.
HONESTLY, a better measure would be ... how does he SMELL to you? If he looks bad and you do not like his body odor; then you can pass on him and not feel so shallow.
Reply:oh man, this is very hard, perfect date but not so handsome guy...i don't think ur shallow its just that appearance matters here.how do u feel about him?if u can't put pass the unattractiveness, then u should just let him know so he don't think u kind of lead him on.
Reply:Hunny dont listen to what the other tell u they are all full of it imagine wakeing up to somebody 365days a years that u found repulsive could u do that i sure couldint do that , personality and looks both have to come together or u will only be liking one part of him not all of him
Reply:NO You are NOT shallow. he should be glad for the friendship of a fine girl like you. things wrong with the mouth gag me so it could be repulsive to kiss him. If he can't be able to have his teeth worked on, then he is not in any position to expect you or anyone to be in a relationship . or be more than a great friend, as it shows he lacks the basic ability to care for himself, and if you end up marrying him, he may expect that you won't put things like your dental health as a priority. bottom line some very nice people have teeth problems. teeth are hygiene, ugly looks can't be helped . your born like that and if you love someone you won't see the ugly, just the love.
Did you know that bacteria in his mouth could get in you mouth and cause you to have infected gums or cavities.
some missing teeth may be from an accident. so germ factor is not involved.
Also i sense that you feel somewhat pressured to go out with him again. just because you admit that someone is good company for you does not mean you have to actually go
out with him. Just say no

How much can I accomplish just from magical thinking? Can I be perfect and know everything there is to know?
I have heard that imagery is a very powerful tool. Is there any way I can use my thinking to suddenly change the circumstances of my life? For example, could I just imagine myself as being in perfect health %26amp; then never have to eat, exercise, bathe or brush my teeth again?
Could I just assume I know everything %26amp; then somehow tap into the collective knowledge of the universe %26amp; have that knowledge in my mind?
Can I make myself grow?
Can I be invisible?
Can I fly?
Can I do all of this stuff effortlessly just by thinking? I don't want to put in lots of effort. I feel like maybe the only reason I have not been able to achieve any of these things is because in the back of my mind I am thinking that they are impossible, %26amp; that self defeating attitude is preventing me from being successful. Like maybe I can jump as high into the air as I want, or teleport, or suddenly learn all skills, but my incredulity at the possibility of things is holding me back. Or maybe I have not practiced enough.

Reply:I certainly think that it is a powerful tool. But no you still have to eat you still have to Shower and who knows the total power of it. Nothing is Impossible you make your own limits. This guy wrote we are not afraid of failing we are afraid of succeeding. I do believe this to be true
Reply:It's impossibal to know the extent of the power the mind has, I think we are millions of years away from anything like what you are suggesting.
Reply:Positive thought can improve your life and ability.. to an extent.. things like if you imagine yourself being able to stretch further... you will be able to... if you imagine yourself making more freethrows.. your % will improve... but there are things you can't do.. you can't become truly invisible... but with imagination you may be able to find a way AROUND that... you can't fly.. but with imagination you may be able to find a way AROUND that.. things like that... just for example (with the flight).. people said for years that "If God wanted us to fly he would have given us wings".. well people kept imagining.. and now we have plains and hang gliders...
so.. all things are possible... if you don't put limitations on how you get there... but you aren't going to do it just by "willing" it to happen. Man's gift in this world.. what sets us apart.. isn't that we can will our mind to do great things.. it's the we can will our mind to find ways around problems... our Technology is our gift... and through THAT all things are possible.
Reply:the way you think has a very powerful impact on your life. for example:
"For example, could I just imagine myself as being in perfect health %26amp; then never have to eat, exercise, bathe or brush my teeth again?"
If you think you can be in perfect health and never bathe, etc, you will ... stink to high heaven and everyone will think you're crazy. that's is why magical thinking is very dangerous and harmful, and why religions that preach it are as evil as religions that preach jihad.
How you think has lots of power over your decisions. You can make decisions based on reality and have them work -- or you can make them based on fantasy.
(granted no one is able to precieve all of reality and thus our *perceptions* of reality can be said to be equally valid, does not mean that there is no reality)
But i think you already know the answer to your own question or you won't have asked it in quite this manner.
people who really practice this call it "positive thinking", they call anyone who disagrees with them "negative", and they stop at "imagine perfect health" part of your question and they never consider the "bathe" part of your question. Some of them don't go to the doctor if they have cancer -- on the grounds that docotors may be "negative" -- and then they die.
I was dumb enough to believe this garbage for six years. I made a lot of wrong choices in my life, mostly sticking with an abusive boyfriend. I threw out "negative" thoughts in my head about how he picked me up and threw me onto the ground, and focused on "postive" thoughts abouth how True Love is the meaning of life and how we would work out all of our problems.
And then i grew up. but now i HATE positive people with a passion.

mind you, i always become invisible when my mom tells me to go and do my homework...

Reply:You're funny! But you've definitely been reading the right stuff, just with a slightly cynical view!
Reply:i think that positive thinking can influence your chance of achieving a goal or status, but thought alone, no.

Teeth questions? what is the best mouth rinse?
Is salt water good enough? what about peroxide and water? what is your favorite toothpaste? is sugar free gum good or bad? (it keeps the saliva flowing, but it is sticky! will it eventually pull out a crown or a filling?) has this happened to you? also, will you please tell me if you have any professional dentistry background? or are you just an ordinary person? (and that's totally ok!) what is your favorite flavor of mouth rinse? does the mouth rinse have to sting (or "tingle") to work? does it have to contain alcohol? does eating cheese (and milk products) really help control bacteria in the mouth? does anyone have any good snack ideas between brushing? (when you just can NOT get to your toothbrush?) carrot sticks (contains some sugar) but does the fiber and the crunching outway the sugar factor? PS. I have a crown that I want to keep. It is brand new. I had 12 fillings, 1 root canal, and one tooth removed in two years after consistently perfect check ups. what happened?
Teeth questions? what is the best mouth rinse?
1. Any mouthrinse has a temporary 'cleaning' situation, whether it is commercial or homemade. More often you use it, you keep your mouth clean round the clock. 2. Pepsodent G. but remember toothpastes are a medium. It is your diet and how you brush and your snacking habit that will determine your Oral hygiene. 3. Surgar free gum is OK. 4. under normal circumstances, your crowns will be strong enough NOT to come out. But tough toffees and a bad crown may come off. 5. NO! 6. Yes dental professional. 7.Mint flavor, a sting is ok %26amp; yes it does contain a little alcohol, check the lable ! 8. No C and Milk do not control bacteria. 9. carrot sticks sugar is not very harmful. Don't snack too much, if you can avoid. 10. Looks like you are snacking too much refined sugar and its product.
Brush more often, floss regularly and visit your dentist often to keep everything intact. And all the best !!

wow babe i have exactly your problem. except i dont have a huge mass of boys all in one school. but going to an all girl school can be frustrating.
ANYWAY
what happens to me is i "talk" to guys for a while, and then, once i pretty much have them, something goes wrong or theres just not stuff there anymore. ive never had a kiss(cause sorry, kissing games never appealed to me) and ive only had 1 boyfriend. he was a douche, but moving on. i just want you to know that youre not alone and there sure as h.ll isnt anything wrong with you.
try picking out a guy in that school that you know is semipopular but still doesnt have all the girls going after him, and decide to go after him. but only someone your actually attracted to. go to the like basketball games and stuff once youre friends and youll meet his friends who will naturally gather. theyre curious, plus you have a vagina. so now you have a whole pool of boys to flirt with or make like you by just being plain sexy you.
good luck babe.

Advice on getting my crooked teeth fixed a.s.a.p?
I have crooked bottom teeth. The front four are crooked. I have two back teeth that became decayed a few months ago and I do not have a regular dentist. I couldn't afford it before. I have very low confidence on finding a perfect dentist who will understand me and give me the best advice. What should I do?
Advice on getting my crooked teeth fixed a.s.a.p?
You have to see a dentist and ask him for a referral to an orthodontist who are the specialists in making teeth braces. It might be a bit costly but it will be all worth it. You might know of some friends or relatives or other people who had the same problem. You might want to talk to them for some advice and good referrals.
I had very crooked teeth and some even one on top of the other like dracula. Now, they're all perfectly straight.
Reply:Braces
Reply:See a dentist to clean up your teeth and get braces...
Reply:Call around several dentists in your area to check to see whether they will meet with you for a consultation (hopefully for free). This will give you the opportunity to meet them in person, check out the office, and see whether you would like to work with them. Come prepared with questions and if price is a concern, also use the opportunity to "shop around" for the deal that works best for you. Good luck.
Reply:You should ask friends and family about a dentist they would suggest to you. If there is no one around who can give you advice about a dentist they think is understanding and kind then you should just try to find a dentist in your area. If you go there the first time and you don't like how they treat you, you never have to go back. It might take some time, but it will be worth it when you find the perfect one for you.
Reply:Well, If you are not happy with your smile.. Then Yes, you should fix it. Sounds to me like you need braces, and some teeth removed.. If you can't afford it, there are some Assistance programs that you can apply for. Why would you think a dentist would not understand you? That's wait they get paid for.. To understand, help, and restore or fix a smile.
Reply:Ask around, maybe your friends could suggest a good dentist? I've had bad dentists before too.
And get braces! If your bottom teeth are crooked due to crowding, that usually gets fixed pretty quick (things like overbites take alot longer to fix). You can get invisalign (which is more expensive than traditional), clear or even braces on the backs of your teeth. And remember to brush and floss, and you may want to use a mouth rinse with flouride if you live in an area without flouridated water! (like Oral B). Good Luck!
Reply:If I were you, I'd go see a dentist and then an orthodontist who specializes in braces. With overcrowding of teeth, you may have to have a couple extractions to make room. Both a dentist and an orthodontist can be found in the Yellow Pages but a reference from someone you know who wears braces would be best. If you tell the doctors your financial situation, they may be able to set you up with a reasonable payment plan. Don't expect a quick-fix. Braces are often worn for a couple years or more.
Reply:Depending on your insurance or your budget your choices may be limited. Remember that you have the right to ask as many questions as you want BEFORE saying "Ahhhh".
Even ask to sit down with your dentist prior to going into the exam room.
First deal with the two decayed teeth. A cavity can affect your whole health. You may, depending on your comfort level, want to make apointment for each procedure.
Also read about dentists on line. What happens and what you should expect. Take a friend with you to hold your hand.

Does extremely fast teeth improvment with braces mean you get them removed sooner?
I have braces, And I have only had them for two months. My orthodonist said I needed them for two years! BUT after only two months, the front top and bottom rows are completely straight when they were horrible crooked before, my left bite is perfect ,and my right bite still has gaps but is improving. My dentist said that if my teeth can move that fast in two months, he doesn't think I will need them for two years. What do you professionals, or just people who have been through this, think?
Does extremely fast teeth improvment with braces mean you get them removed sooner?
Honestly, it is nice that your teeth and surrounding bone are agreeable to the braces. My teeth were harder to move, while my husband's were a breeze (we were both adults and in braces at the time). However, even though you might not need them for two years and they already look tons better you might still need alot of "tweaking". This may make you frustrated since you aren't seeing any major changes. Also, if teeth are moved too quickly it will make the roots resorb, so you end up with short unstable roots of the teeth, so be patient. I trust that your orthodontist has plenty of experience?
So as a dental hygienist and former ortho patient I would say be patient, but know mine only took 18 months

MUCH DEPENDS ON THE OPINION OF THE ORTHODONTIST. IF HE SAYS 2 YEARS, THEN IT'S 2 YEARS.
Reply:Jamrdh is correct. You may think they are straight and look like they are, but your bite or occlusion will need lots of "slight" movements to get each tooth into the correct position. Be patient and do your part keeping appointments, following instructions and making sure to spend the extra time on excellent hygiene so when they are removed you'll have a beautiful smile to be proud of when you show it off. You very well may get them off early with good progress and effort on your part too. It's been done before, but not too often. Good luck and keep up the good work!
Reply:i had to have mine on for just over 3 years!! and even tho you think its great and they're straight and you might think you don't need to wear your retainer cuz they're fine, DO IT. i ruined over 3 years worth of dental work cuz i didn't wear my retainer enough and my teeth slowly shifted back out of place. im pissed but i have no one to blame but myself. so don't make that mistake when the day comes to finally get yours off. as you mentioned your teeth moved quickly into a prettier place, so make sure you wear that retainer so they cement back that way :)

Christians: If we are all a result of perfect design and god doesnt make mistakes?
Then why do humans have so many problems resulting from evolution? like due to our evolving smaller mouths (from a more gentler diet over the past few hundred/thousand years) most people need to have their wisdom teeth removed when they reach a certain age. does this smack of perfect design to you?
womens increased knee stress due to evolved larger birth canals and pelvises to accomodate larger brained babies is another example.
Christians: If we are all a result of perfect design and god doesnt make mistakes?
Brother, sorry about the pain of having your wisdom teeth removed !
Where did you get the idea that we all all a result of perfect design? Perhaps you misunderstood the phrase "made in God's image"? If so, understand that "God's image" is not a physical one -- do you think that God has had HIS wisdom teeth removed?
We are all Children of God in the spiritual sense. Our physical forms are flawed, as you'll find flaws and oddities in any physical being (check out the giraffe, ostrich, penguin and duck-billed platypus).
Reply:I honestly don't know.

THE GOD made us perfect - We have screwed it up with the way we live. Dont blame HIM.
Reply:We were perfect, until adam and eve sinned, now we are all sinners. God is the only one perfect, and the wages for sin is death, then when we accept Jesus Christ as our savior, repent of sins and have faith, we will be able to enter the Kingdom of God,
This world is not perfect, we are not of this world, and should not be living for this world, we should live for Gods Kingdom that is perfect, and share our spiritual gifts with others so they can make the decision between life and death.

I like it when you say it yourself that God is a perfect designer, and i must tell you that the changes humans Undergo now is as a result of the disobedience of our forefathers Adam and Eve.God waned that they would be subjected to things like this if they disobey him.

My teeth...?
okay so my teeth arent that straight, but im getting braces in a few years. Do they look okay... i know their not PERFECT, but what do you think? Im only posting this pic because it doesnt really look like myself.

My teeth...?
Honestly? I think they look great. They are you and unique. They are not ugly at all. Trust me, I would tell you otherwise. If they bother YOU or interfere with eating go ahead with the braces.
Smile;) It looks good! You're so pretty.
Your jaw is still growing so the position of your teeth may change as well. My daughter got her braces at 13. She is very happy with them. She will need retainers for the rest of her life though because her teeth were reversed! Good luck to you.
Reply:no, u definately look crooked.

If you are worried about braces, dont even worry they dont even hurt.
Reply:As of what i can tell on the pic, your teeth aren't as crooked as you think. Not to drastic. Braces is up to you i guess, if i was you go ahead with the braces but it doesnt seem like a big deal now.
Reply:there not that crooked but you definatley need braces.
Reply:i think they look fine but braces will help! but some people have way worst teeth! so your are gooood!
Reply:yikes.
at least braces can fix them!
just dont lose confidence because if your confident it will override the bad teeth :\
(which CAN be fixed, so no sweat!)

Your jaw is still growing so the position of your teeth may change as well. My daughter got her braces at 13. She is very happy with them. She will need retainers for the rest of her life though because her teeth were reversed! Good luck to you.
Reply:no, u definately look crooked.
Reply:Braces will definetely do you some good(=
If you are worried about braces, dont even worry they dont even hurt.

How do you look perfect?
how do you look perfect?, sorta like "put together %26amp; stylish" i guess you would call it? lol. like teeth, hairdos, haircare, makeup products, skincare, clothes, perfume,%26amp; everything else.
How do you look perfect?
i know what you mean, i've been trying to perfect that myself lol. the most important thing is whatever style you go with, make it your own, and be yourself.
(an example of making it your own, is once i went to a store and found a girl who was just in simple black pants, white shirt, and a black cardigan. but she made it her own with the kind of shoe she was wearing and her accessories. her earrings were these huge dangly things! lol they were airplanes, totally unique. i had never seen earrings like that! little things like that to add a personal touch of your own style are important!)
looking "put together and stylish" requires being polished. maybe take up a more sophisticated style. make sure your outfit is complete (e.g. with your pants and shirt, wear a nice jacket..doesn't have to be heavy. maybe a cardigan or light jacket. try tying in a hand bag or scarf in cooler weather) make sure you have your hair well maintained. you can't have a put together look if your hair is all over the place lol.
it doesn't matter what makeup brand you use, just as long as you make sure that your makeup looks fresh and well applied! as far as perfume, just wear whatever makes you feel good, and a fragrance you like.
hmm as far as hairdoes and makeup and the perfect style you want...keep your eyes open. if you notice a girl who has what you're looking for, look her over. look at how she does her hair and makeup and the clothes she's wearing to give you an idea.
and make sure you're confident! all girls who have this kind of pulled together and perfect look are confident! this is what pulls it all together :)

Teeth starting to go bad... help?
I've been smoking too much recently and my teeth have gone a bit yellow and have a couple of little brown stripes on them...
I really dont like it so obviosly I'll smoke a bit less but wil that really make them white again and get rid of the stripes...?
I want them to look perfect again, what do you suggest?
Teeth starting to go bad... help?
Firstly, I would suggest to stop smoking, completely. Make sure you brush your teeth at least twice a day, preferably using a toothpaste with a whitening agent in it. A visit to the dentist is well worth considering too - make sure you make this a regular thing - think about going for teeth whitening or possibly veneers, I'm sure your dentist will know what's best.
Reply:go to the dentist
Reply:dental surgery, none of the over the counter stuff will make enough of a difference.
Or get veneers
Reply:Stop smoking and get a regular appointment with a dentist
Reply:ur own fault for smoking cancer sticks. only thing to do is stop before they get worse
Reply:Brush 3 times daily and Floss
You should try some kind of whitening strips or something
Sometimes colleges like Apollo College give out free teeth cleaning. You should look into that kind of stuff with colleges around your area.
Reply:A professional clean at the dentist will probably improve them a lot, if not you can always consider bleaching. However niether is worth it if you are going to continue smoking as your teeth will be yellow again very soon if you do.
Reply:When it has gone as far as brown you would need to go to a dentist and have them whiten them four you. It's costly but so is smoking.
Reply:Cosmetic Dental Surgury is not as expensive as you may think.. Carry on smoking until they go black, then ask your best mate to lend you a grand....
Reply:Stop smoking!
visit your dentist and get any cavities that you may have filled!!
keep brushing and flossing
Results will be slow but you will see them!
Reply:Go to the dentist.

Braces/really crooked teeth?
im 14 and i have very crooked teeth, well mainly in the fornt. i feel really insecure because of it, and truthfully i think im pretty ok looking but the teeth just makes it all bad. when i laugh i have my lips closed tight. its kind of annoying but anyways, do braces really straighten them all up and make them look perfect? or is there any way to make them straight and aligned?
Braces/really crooked teeth?
Braces will definitely fix your teeth. The best way to start is to make an appointment with an orthodontist. He will do an consultation and suggest what to do. Best of luck!
Reply:Braces will make your teeth straight, I would think thats you best option.

*sigh* Is there no hope for my teeth some of them are weak?
I have had tmj for ever and my teeth are weak and have moved. when i was 17 i had my wisdom teeth out and i didn't go back to the dentist until i was 27. They hurt me so bad when i was 17 I felt everything. my mom heard me in the waiting room. anyway my jaw pops like crazy and now my teeth are weak they aren't loose juss yet but i know thats next. I am so scared to go and hear it's too late i used to have a perfect smile now i have gaps :( anyway what do you think is it too late to save my teeth??
*sigh* Is there no hope for my teeth some of them are weak?
I agree with everyone that you need to put your fear aside and act fast as it situation won't get any better.
I had terrible teeth and due to a bad visit to the dentist for a root canal, I never went back for 3 years! The cavaties only got worse and finally I had the guts to make an appointment with a dentist (2 months ago). My only regret was not doing it sooner and the experience was a lot better than I had expected!
These days dentists will give you local anaesthetics to treat the pain and even 'laughing gas' to help ease the nerves when you first get there. With local anaesthetics, it shouldn't hurt if the dentist has injected it properly to the correct nerve.
In your case, I would recommend seeing a specialist, especially a dental surgeon about your oral health and also a cosmetic surgeon if you're concerned about the aesthetics such as the gaps.
In the meantime, remember to brush, floss and rinse at least twice a day (morning and night) and have chewing gum after you snack or have lunch. Also use the fluoride mouth wash once or twice a week to prevent further cavities and to strengthen your teeth. Make sure you're also taking in enough calcium each day.
Reply:without seeing them I cannot tell. But there are always dentures and fake teeth. I know I'm looking into the latter. I have about the same problem as you.
Reply:You can always get fake teeth put in, it is painful. But now a days there is so much the medical field can do to make you beautiful. Even when it comes to your teeth
Reply:there are always options and preventable measures, toothpastes that can strengthen the teeth, sensodyne to relieve pain, Mouthwashes to eliminate certain causes of irritations and floss to keep the teeth healthy,
Always get 2 opinions from dentists, for a better idea of the options. Instead of having teeth removed- they may be prepped for an attachment to use later in a denture or partial.
Always second guess full tooth removal, generally 2 to 4 attachment points work well for both dentures and removable bridges, proper hygiene can only stop teeth from moving and only very rarely return proper placement,
a reputable dentist is the best option in this situation to rule out any underlying causes...
take care , good luck
Reply:Unless you act soon it will be too late to save your teeth. No one likes to visit a dentist but you have to put your fear aside and make an appointment with a dentist. If your teeth are real bad he may refer you to an oral surgeon. An oral surgeon can treat you for gum disease and perform deep cleaning to correct the problem. Don't wait too long. You may still be able to save your teeth. Act before its too late. Because of your fear of the dentist you may be tempted to try over the counter remedies. These will only give you a false sense of security withing actually getting to the source of your problem. For proper diagnosis and treatment see a dentist. There is nothing like keeping your own teeth.

Are the 2 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth separation supposed to meet up?
I feel silly asking this, but my orthodontist says that I'm getting my braces off in a few weeks, and whenever I smile, the 2 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth separation line are like 1 millimeter off meeting meeting each other... It's kind of like this
>http://markpolasky.com/images/uploaded/P0000308.JPGhttp://markpolasky.com/images/uploaded/P...
I know it's silly to fret about something as small as this, but I was wondering, is it normal to have that "not perfect" alignment??
Are the 2 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth separation supposed to meet up?
this is called the mid line, in a perfect situation they would meet, but our teeth are not always perfect... the doctors job is to get a nice alignment of the teeth, and a heathly functiuon of the teeth ( so when you eat or talk, the teeth don;t crash into eachother or wear out funny. your doctor may have opted to have your midline "off" so that he/she can close all of the spaces. in never hurts to ask! there are also elastics that can be worn at the end of treatment that will pull things into alignment.
Reply:wheres the braces? well those look perfect! and i love your lipstick color =]
Reply:Hi! I've been in dentistry for over 25 years and you smile is almost perfect. Your teeth are in alignment and yes, the midline is slightly off, but the results are very good. NO one but you will ever notice this. You smile is gorgeous and the midline is off because your jaw is slightly off. Your Ortho did a great job. Often the jaw bones do not line up perfect, and the ortho has a tough job to bring it in this good. This is mother nature and since your teeth line up perfect, this is the best you can get, and to tell you the truth, he did a great job. NO ONE will ever notice this, I promise. And with the teeth you have, be glad, they look great. M

My Teeth! What's Happening?
I've always had a perfect smile. It was always white, my gums were always healthy, I've only had 1 Cavity ever, my gums are pink not red, but yesterday, I noticed that the gum below my two lower front teeth, when i take my finger nail, I can kind of feel the gum and it's not completely 'attached' to the teeth! What's happening? Does everyone have this? It's attatched, just like the tips of it kind of. I can't exactly explain it, but if you know what I mean, PLZ HELP ME!
My Teeth! What's Happening?
Perhaps you have bruised your gums, since you said you always have had perfect teeth then it is obvious that some form of a trauma to your gums. Maybe food you ate yesterday or day before, and I do not believe that you smoke because your question sounds as if you have been proud of your perfect smile and all -Congratulations!! If you have the time and or a relationship (professional) with a Dentist - make an appointment as soon as you can to see him/her. You also may want to wait 1 or 2 days to see if it clears up. Your first answer was just a guess, your second answer was just nonsense. I am not a Dentist, so depending on you knowing your condition prior and currently, you MUST make the decision yourself - gums do have a purpose, and I personally floss, use an electric toothbrush and accidentally overdone the process to where your condition has happened to myself. It has usually happened when I brush or eat something with either a bone in it or popcorn. Gargle with water and salt (this usually heals the gums) and do remember if it bothers you - see a dentist. Hope this helps and good Luck!! By the way, answer #1 is guessing and answer #2 is just spam!!! Do the best to keep your fingernails away (as hard as it is) away from feeling the gums for now.
Reply:i dont know if you smoke or if youve had kids but to me it sounds like gingevitis. definitly schedule appt with dentist but its common and very easy to fix just brush mouthwash and floss. but make sure he sees you.
Reply:I think this is normal. I have the same thing on some of my teeth. I am pretty sure this is natural for your gums not to be completely attached to your teeth.
Reply:Just to be safe, see your dentist.
But, if you brush in an up/down motion, you could have moved the gum away from the tooth.
Reply:Sound to me like you might be obsessing just a little about your teeth [picking gums with a fingernail is NOT a good idea]. Just chill out a little OK? Gums are not attached to teeth! Gums are attached to bone and when they come up to the teeth there is a little crevice that allows everything to attach to the root of the tooth. It's called a periodontal attachment. The crevice runs all around the tooth and is on all teeth. Usually, in a healthy mouth, this is anywhere from 1-3mm deep which is plenty deep enough to catch with a fingernail. Soooo it sounds like you have a very healthy mouth which just needs to be less monitored at home, but do keep up with your great home care.
Reply:Proper dental hygiene makes a person feel well through out the day. Brushing the teeth daily two times helps in keeping the dental diseases at bay. Dental hygiene is of utmost important for everyone. Choosing a proper paste and brush is very important as it helps in fighting cavities and germs in the teeth. Toothbrush should be changed at least every 4-5 months. Dental hygiene is very important and brushing the teeth every night does helps in removing the germs. Flossing the teeth daily and using plaque control mouthwash is very important for a person. Cleaning the tongue is also very important as it helps in removing the bad breath.

I want a perfect smile?
I am only 16 and my teeth have yellow stains and are yellow. I think it was caused by the food that I eat because I brush my teeth thoroughly twice a day, everyday. I want to know if it is possible for me to have a perfect smile. What do I have to do? Will the dentist be able to help me brighten all my teeth? I want to have a smile like the celebrities. No rude or funny answers please.
I want a perfect smile?
These days it seems that everyone wants whiter teeth. With all of the bleaching products available from your dentist, drug store, and TV infomercials, it's getting easier all the time to have teeth like the movie stars.
But one thing most people don't realize is that it takes more than just a good whitening product to get those pearly whites to dazzle. First, you must have enough tooth enamel!
Huh? That's right, tooth enamel. As a dentist, I often had to explain this to my patients who had worn their enamel thin. The enamel is the hard, protective outer layer of your teeth. If you're genetically blessed, it's natural color is a very light ivory which we perceive as "white". If nature didn't give you the whitest enamel, or if you've smoked too many cigarettes, drank too many glasses of red wine or black coffee, or indulged in too many helpings of cherry pie in your lifetime, your teeth may not look as white as they once did. There are many more foods that can stain your teeth, but the point is, we're talking about stain here -- pigments in the enamel that can be chemically "bleached".
Tooth whitening products do a great job of removing stain and can even help people whose natural tooth color is on the grey or yellow side. But here's where whitening won't help, or not nearly as much: if your tooth enamel is thin. You see, the thinner the enamel on your teeth gets, the more the layer underneath it starts to show through it. That second layer, called dentin, is typically yellow in color -- even brownish in some cases. And teeth whitening products do a very poor job of whitening dentin.
So how does tooth enamel wear so thin that you can "see through it"? The most obvious answer is from brushing too hard, and/or with too abrasive a tooth paste (and too hard a brush). Picture the worst case scenario: you're a smoker with a compulsion towards keeping your teeth white and your breath fresh. So, you buy yourself the hardest bristle brush you can find, and stock up on an abrasive toothpaste formulated for smokers. Every chance you get, you're running to the bathroom to scrub that nicotine stain and odor away, and you figure the harder you scrub, the better!
Reply:Celebrities have veneers. You can get veneers as well, or just go to the dentist and bleach them.
Reply:Go for it!!!
Have your dentist first do bleaching and then have him evaluate for straightness (braces).
I think it's great that you want your smile to look perfect. Don't forget your home care to keep them in great shape!!

Teeth help?
does brushing and floss/mouthwash just keeps teeth healthy and clean? like a good brushing plan does make teeth really white or any straighter? or showeing, it just keeps your skin clean and healthy, it dosent make your skin feel perfect. do you have to use seperate products or what?
Teeth help?
Brushing your teeth not only keeps your mouth healthy and clean, but it also keeps your body clean and healthy. If anything happens to your mouth/teeth, it can affect your heart, and you'd be at risk of heart problems and death. Brushing your teeth often and having a good plan to keep them clean doesn't always work the way you want it to. Like, you may smoke or do other stuff, and you may be brushing your teeth properly, but you may still have kind of gross teeth. Just try your hardest to keep that mouth clean. Your question on showing off your smile and keeping your skin nice, well the smiling doesn't make you have nice skin. If you're to keep your skin nice and acne-free, then you're fine. The only thing that smiling'll do is make you happy to show off your smile. If any ones sees you smile, they'll smile back, and the world will be a great place. Lol. Oh by the way, your skin cant feel perfect. There is no such thing as perfect. You can be fine with something, but you wont think of it as perfect.
Alright, i hope that answers some of your questions. ♥
Reply:Brushing and rinsing can help keep your teeth strong and healthy, as well as clean, but it will not effect how your teeth are aligned. Flossing not only keeps the junk out from between your teeth, but also helps keep your gums strong and healthy.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by using separate products, though..
Reply:brushing teeth doesnt make them straight......brushing teeth cleans them, floss picks crap out of them, and mouthwash kills bad breath germs. products are used for all different reasons i'm not really sure of your question.
Reply:Yes, brushing and flossing keeps your mouth healthy. Not only that though, just recently the health of your mouth has been linked to the health of your heart as well.
It's just good hygiene.
Reply:Brushing your teeth with toothpaste, flossing, and rinsing with mouthwash make your teeth and gums healthy. Toothpaste and mouthwash may make your teeth whiter, but does not straighten them.
Showering keeps your body clean and destroys bacteria and viruses that may be on your skin. Remember, your skin is an organ too.
Keeping these cleansing routines within your daily hygene will help you maintain a healthy body.

Is it normal for toddler to have slightly yellow teeth?
It looks like bad plaque particularly at the top of some teeth. Granted she makes teeth brushing difficult but the yellowing seems worse than our less-than-perfect brushing. Suggestions?
Is it normal for toddler to have slightly yellow teeth?
The reasons for toddler teeth discoloration are varied and include:
*Poor cleaning habits
*Exposure to certain vitamins (ie. iron) and germs
*Eating certain foods
*Early tooth decay
*Traumatic injury
*Medication use
In certain conditions, toddler tooth discoloration can be easily treated. For parents, it is helpful to clean off teeth stains with either baking soda and water or adult toothpaste. If these stains are removed through these solutions, it is a sign that the toddler teeth discoloration is not a major problem. However, if these stains cannot be removed from these home remedies, then a dentist should be consulted. They usually are able to easily rectify toddler teeth discoloration.
Reply:Electric toothbrush time!
Reply:That doesn't sound typical. Has she been on antibiotics lately? Sometimes they cause discoloration of the teeth. I would check with the pediatrician.
Reply:cut back on the coffee, dark liquor and choclate.
Reply:It's OK. It usually happens if they drink soda. it's OK. Just make sure they drink a lot of milk. If they don;t that could signal low calcium in diet. But as long as you know that the baby has about 2 bottles or cups of milk every day, you should be fine!
Reply:no
Reply:Doesn't sound good, has she been on alto of antibiotics? Try an electric tooth brush. Is she okay with calcium products? You might check with the doc, next time you go to see if she needs supplements of sometime, because you don't want what ever it is to effect her permanent teeth.
Reply:We had a similar problems. The doctor (DD) said that her teeth are too pourous and retain some dirt... We had it cleaned up but it came back in a few months...
Reply:I suggest you ask a dentist. It's never too early to begin a good rapport with a pediatric dentist.
Reply:No, it's not. Take her for her first dental check or ask your pediatrician. Keep on with the brushing; it will get easier. Take her to the store and have her help you pick out a battery operated tooth brush--there's Dora, Sponge Bob, and other characters the toddlers like. Make sure you use kid's toothpaste to go with it. Make tooth brushing part of her/your morning and bedtime routine. I think antibiotics can stain teeth, but I thought it was more gray than yellow.
Reply:OMFG WTF OMFG BBQSAUCE HAX0R!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brush your kid's teeth before someone calls child services on you damnit! If she doesn't cooperate be evil and buy a jaw clamp, then brush the Ć’awk out of those teeth!
Reply:Yeah,is very ok,but make sure they are taking milk.
Reply:I've heard about this happening before... My suggestion is to keep trying to brush. My son doesn't like brushing either, but after I'm done, I say: 'Now its your turn!' and he likes brushing them himself! Then, we make a big deal about how white and clean they are. This should be a routine done at the same times of the day, so she'll know what to expect.
Some people use an egg timer too - but, I think she might be a little on the young side for that?? Don't know.
Reply:My three yea old sons teeth are very white indeed.(Or so i thought) Behind his two bottom teeth i noticed that they were brown. (i was mortified) He doesn't have any sweets or strong juice and brushes his teeth morning and night. I took him to the dentist(which i suggest you do) and he said its not the fact that he has had sweets or strong juices its just that some food may of got stuck and rotted. This may be the case with your child if its just one or two teeth. I would scrub his teeth and stop any sweets or sugary drinks and give plenty of water, milk and fruit for snacks. wont do any harm
Reply:it is normal. my daughter is 6 now and i also have a 4 year old. they have yellow teeth also from giving them juices that stain their teeth. it's perfectly normal. once my six year old lost some baby teeth and her big girl teeth came in, we brushed them twice a day so they'd stay white. they don't stay completely white. i was thinking of using a whitener, but my pediatrician said that's a bad idea. it just happens. heredity has alot to do with it too. after giving her juice, let her drink some water to wash the juice down. children's teeth are very pourous. did you ever notice if you give her a blue freezie pop her teeth will be bluer than yours if you ate one? don't worry, after she gets older, she can whiten them if she desires. if you let her hold the tooth brush while you brush her teeth, that may help too. another thing would be to let her brush first, then you brush the correct way. make her feel involved and she will want to do it more often. good luck. btw she should be old enough to take her to the dentist for a thorough cleaning. if she 's scared, a good dentist will let you come in and let her "ride" in the chair to let her get used to it. take her every six months and by the age of 4, i bet she will love it. they give all kinds of stuff out, toothbrushes, stickers, etc. even if she's scared, take her so she can get accustomed to it, even if they don't clean her teeth and just let her see the room. iron stains the teeth too, so if you give him iron in his vitamins.

White Teeth???
How do I make my teeth not so yellow????? They are a light cream now and I hate it, I clean my teeth everyday with a hitening toothpaste. Help me find a way without using whitening strips to perfect my smile?????
White Teeth???
use the new crest whitening toothpaste it does a great job
Reply:If you smoke/drink coffee or cola type drinks - give them up. Tippex would also make your teeth whiter, although I don't think it's designed for teeth.
Reply:Go to the dentist and get them whitened... or they can give you a home whitening kit that works really well.

mix it together like a paste.

Just buy a box of it and sprinkle some on a wet toothbrush. It tastes good and it works pretty well :)
Reply:crest whitestrips are a blessing. Peroxide helps as well, and brushing your teeth with a smallll amount once every couple of weeks helps, but dont over do it as it will strip the enamel and make your teeth really brittle. Not to mention it tastes ridiculous.
Reply:don't bleach them, cause you are stupid if you do.
instead use somethign natural like baking soda, not something deadly and disease causing like whitestrips or bleach or whatever.
i mean really, use your head. do you really thin kits good to be using something like bleach for your body?
Reply:You should go get your teeth cleaned at the dentist. Brush your teeth right after meals, that whats important, and try not to drink coffee or tea or coke. Brushing teeth right after eating and flossing your teeth is also important before you go to bed.

Reply:well try not to drink coffee, coke-pepsi-cola these things especially dont smoke, and if u dont do any of these things go see a dentist make sure u floss aswell and brush ur teeth 4 sure.
Reply:I know it is similar to whitening strips, but there is a gel that I use that makes it whiter. It wasn't even expensive. The results aren't that drastic though. I would recommend the strips though, I've seen people who got so much better results. Also a dentist could help you out, for a price.
Reply:i don't think there is any way to whiten your teeth without whitening strips or getting them whitened professionally. i used crest white strips. they worked really well for me.
