Is it alright for me to brush my teeth for 10 mins each session, 3 times a day?
Too much brushing can wear on the teeth, and inflame your gums. If you%26#039;re worried about your teeth, try brushing and flossing after each meal (but only for 2 mins!) and rinsing with a mouthwash. You can make one at home by adding a teaspoon of baking soda and a dash of salt to a cup of warm water.
Reply:If you brush to frequently for too long you will wear off the enamel and that%26#039;s not good.
Reply:Yes, you%26#039;re going to wear away your enamel quickly, and cause recession of your gums.

You should brush for 2 minutes, 2 times a day, upon waking, and before bed (you can brush in the middle of the day too, but the recommended amount is only 2 times a day for 2 minutes)
Reply:If you brush too much or too hard, you can have gum recession, which doesn%26#039;t sound too bad, but it hurts. Let me tell you - when the gum is pushed back like that, the skin that is exposed is super sensitive and it hurts. And you can%26#039;t undo that. Follow the directions of the answers above.
Reply:Brushing for more than 2min at a time is inadvisable because it wears down enamel, the most important part of a tooth. Usually brush once in the morning, once after lunch and dinner. you can substitite it with mouthwash. Also do not use hard bristles and dont forget to brush the insides of your teeth.
