i let all my back top teeth rot away but my 6 front teeth are perfect, can i get new back teeth and still keep my front ones or do i have to get them all pulled to have all my teeth replaced?

You can keep your good teeth. On the back ones you can have them pulled and have a partial put in (the least expensive way to go). Or, if there is enough to work with, you can have caps put on them. This costs a little more. The last and most expensive is to have implants. Go to a very reputable dentist and see what options he says you have. Then it%26#039;s up to you and how much money and/or dental insurance you have to make the best decision. Good Luck.
Reply:You can keep your own teeth. Dentists can do anything as long as you have great insurance or tons and tons of money!!!
Reply:Yes, you can get dental implants if you can afford them. A word of caution, just because your front teeth appear well, there might be hidden problems. Have them x-rayed and have a periodontal exam. You need to know what the health of the supporting bone is like around the roots. If it is very poor, then you can expect the last 6 teeth to be pulled. At that point you can either go with a full denture or you can still go with implants. I just would not do anything without an x-ray survey first.
Reply:Your options are limited.

The remaining front teeth can be used to help support an upper partial denture, but often the denture doesn%26#039;t have enough grip and keeps dropping down at the back. Denture adhesives can help.

Usually the remaining teeth might have to be extracted and replaced with a full denture which is supported by suction over the whole roof of your mouth, or you would need implants to support fixed bridgework.
