How to make a perfect occlusal form on class 2 compound preparation on both deciduous and permanent teeth?

im a dental student who doesn%26#039;t have the slightest idea about what is occlusal lock clinically.

How to make a perfect occlusal form on class 2 compound preparation on both deciduous and permanent teeth?
first you have to understand what each part of the cavity you prepare responsible for.

first the walls are converging occlusally to maintain the restoration in its position.

then if it is compound cavity you will make a dove tail lock at the ismuth portion of the cavity, which is for preventing the restoration from from disloadging proximally.

if you know what is the reason for anything, you will do it correctly.

make sure after you finish your cavity that there is no gaps between the restoration and the tooth, you can use a probe.

a digrame will explain more but i can%26#039;t attach one!!!
