Will getting my wisdom teeth taken out give my bottom row of teeth space to straighten out?

A couple months ago I got my braces off and now I have a retainer for both my bottom and top teeth. My bottom teeth aren't perfect, but still he said that the retainer would finish it up. He also said that I needed my wisdom teeth out soon. If I get my wisdom teeth out, will that give me more space so that my bottom row will straighten?

if all ur teeth are currently squishing together then the answer would be yes, it is a possibility, your wisdom teeth can be causing ur other teeth to squish together. i never had wisdom teeth come in and my teeth have lots of gaps because of my lack of other teeth too (im missing 8 adult teeth, was born without them, so i still have like 7 baby teeth, one took missing, as well as i only ever had 2 wisdom teeth) so lack of teeth causes major gaps so maybe if u took them out that would allow more room for them to spread out...

just my take on the whole ordeal though, your choice to decide. :-) take care.
