What could be wrong with my teeth? Please help!?

I never needed braces, only had 4 cavities prior, take good care of my teeth, %26amp; never had a problem. I brush 2x %26amp; floss everyday.

8 mos ago, a dentist did a filling and my bite was off afterwards - back teeth felt like they were hitting before others. I asked him to correct it, he said sleep on it. I did, and woke w/a chip in my back teeth where they'd clashed (I clench). I went back, he said the filling was perfect but other teeth needed adjusting. He filed down teeth on both sides of my mouth, top %26amp; bottom. After, I could no longer close my teeth completely. About 1/2 my teeth no longer touched. I had horrible headaches and jaw pain for weeks.

I got a new dentist, who readjusted my bite and did an amazing job. My bite feels ok again (it won't get back to its original state unless I get porcelain overlays to put back what the other guy filed off, but it's $$$).

But still I'm having major problems...

I have to add more info so please hit refresh before answering....

sheesh my initial thought was...find a new dentist, which you did. He should have repaired the filling and left your other teeth alone. Im surprised and shocked that he would file them. My mom had a similar problem and they redid the tooth. I might ask him for a refund....to get the porcelain overlays you will need because of his shoddy job. Also, check out this link. Its all about how dental decay can be reversed and prevented just by adding and subtracting a few things from the diet. I fee horrible that youre having all this trouble. I hope your new dentist is a competent one.

Reply:think wisdom teeth....they are usually behind the things you describe....I ve had nothing but trouble with my teeth since my wisdoms made their appearance.....and one is still below the gumline and causing major hassles
Reply:could be referred pain. It's not uncommon.
Reply:you would be surprised at how many people have a problem in a tooth, and then the "opposite" tooth hurts. it can happen. see your dentist.
