i stopped wearing my retainers and untill recently couldnt tell a difference .... can i put them back in and get my teeth to go back to perfect and straight
Can you re straighten your teeth with your retainers?
You should make an appointment with the orthodontist, since the retainers may need to be adjusted. Sometimes wearing the retainers again can move the teeth back, but only if the retainer is adjusted properly and if the crowding is not too severe.
Reply:don't leave them off for too long as your teeth will change too much and the retainers won't be able to straighten them. Acutall to ward off movemnet i would keep the reaitners for life and put them in once a week, after your orthodontist says don't use them anymore.
My nephew just got his braces off but he has metal retainers on the inside of his mouth for life.
Reply:No. You'll have to go back to your orthodontist. Retainers are meant to keep the teeth in the proper position and "set" not "realign" them.

Just interested to know what condition your teeth are in, are they perfect and white, or brown and filled?

Teeth Whitening with Rev Kit - Do i Brush Teeth afterward?
Im using the Perfect Rev! 15-min kit for teeth whitening provided to me by my dentist. Im following the instructions - brush my teeth like normal (Colgate total or the provided Arm %26amp; Hammer Baking Soda Hydr-Peroxide toothpaste) + floss, use the tray and 14% hy-perox solution for 15 min, rinse with special mouthwash. It then goes on to say simply "brush gently" implying i should once again brush my teeth after the mouthwash. After which i should not drink or eat for 30 mins.
My question is do i "gently brush" with water r do i use my regular Colgate Total or the provided Arm %26amp; Hammer Baking Soda Hydr-Peroxide toothpaste. I dont want to neutralize any existing reaction going on on my teeth (you know, 30 mins no drink/eat statement).

Okay i have good teeth but they are not perfect. I have a pretty small gap but i will do anything to get it closed. The only thing i will not do is get braices or get it surgically closed, so is there anything i can do like do yall have any hints or suggenstons. Plus i also need some tips on how to get my teeth whiter. I brush my teeth twice a day but is there any hints on how to get it really white without getting it bleached or using any special chemicals. PLEASE HELP!!!!

you can get porcelain veneers applied that will make up the gap and give you a sparkling white look but it's not cheap. A good cosmetic dentist should be able to help you.The first consultation shouldn't cost too much.
Reply:I don't know about your gap, but I know backing soda gets teeth pretty while. The only problem is that it taste really bad. Just mix a little with water and brush your teeth with it.
Reply:A little gap between your teeth probably looks just fine to everyone. If you want your teeth whiter, mix equal amounts of salt and baking soda together (I have mine in a salt shaker) put a few dried beans in with it to keep it loose. Sprinkle some in the palm of you hand. Wet your toothbrush and the dip into your palm to get this "natural" toothpaste. Works like a charm. I hope this helps.

Bonding on teeth=horrible idea?
ok so i have horrible horrible staining on my teeth.
like honestly it makes me want to cry.
i have cried over it many times, haha.
my friend said she did when she was little she had the same thing
and a few years ago the docters put bonding on her teeth and now they look perfect.
i mentioned this to my mom and she started yelling at me and siad that 3 of my aunts had it and they all b*tch about it all the time because it flakes off and stuff.
is this true?

Late Growth in Upper Jaw, Top Teeth Do not touch bottom teeth when I bite?
Well the back or sides of my teeth touch on the top and bottom when I bite. I had braces and my teeth were very close to perfect, now I can not bite food with my front teeth because my teeth do not close all the way. Also I guess I tongue thrust when I swallow. I do not want to have mouth surgery, I saw a surgeon he said he could fix it, but can this be solved easily with braces, if so, how long?

Reply:This is something we can not answer without seeing appropriate x-rays. You could also have arthritic degeneration of the mandibular condyles, which would create a gap between your front teeth (top to bottom).

Messed up teeth from whitening!!???
I bought Aquafresh teeth whitening trays... 1st, my family naturally doesn't have sparkly white teeth... they look far from perfect... so i tried to whiten them.. i dint overdo it, and followed directions exactly... but after 2 days, i have my normal tooth color, with REALLY white spots... that are noticeable from close-up only, but also... my bottom teeth- the top half of them are really white, while the bottom half (of each tooth... the half closer to gums) is like my normal color................... how do i fix this!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????
