ok so i have horrible horrible staining on my teeth.
like honestly it makes me want to cry.
i have cried over it many times, haha.
my friend said she did when she was little she had the same thing
and a few years ago the docters put bonding on her teeth and now they look perfect.
i mentioned this to my mom and she started yelling at me and siad that 3 of my aunts had it and they all b*tch about it all the time because it flakes off and stuff.
is this true?
is it even worth it?
%26amp;how much does it generally cost?
Bonding on teeth=horrible idea?
the costs depend on your area. If your dentist cant remove them I would recommend porcelain veneers. They can be pricey but can change the whole look of your teeth, the shape, color and size. They have great results with these, especially if you take care of your teeth. I cant say that I would recommend just regular bonding. I live in So. Illinois and it is anywhere from 800-1000 per tooth.

Late Growth in Upper Jaw, Top Teeth Do not touch bottom teeth when I bite?
Well the back or sides of my teeth touch on the top and bottom when I bite. I had braces and my teeth were very close to perfect, now I can not bite food with my front teeth because my teeth do not close all the way. Also I guess I tongue thrust when I swallow. I do not want to have mouth surgery, I saw a surgeon he said he could fix it, but can this be solved easily with braces, if so, how long?

Ah - and I thought I was the only one! I've had my braces for 2 1/2 years now, and that was after I had an RPE. Good luck!
Reply:ask your orthodontist silly.
Reply:This is something we can not answer without seeing appropriate x-rays. You could also have arthritic degeneration of the mandibular condyles, which would create a gap between your front teeth (top to bottom).
Reply:The tongue thrust or TMJ/Degeneration might caused the open bite problem. If the tongue thrust is the caused, I can treat it using Myofunctional Orthodontics to closed your bite down. You can call my office for more information 562-904-2157.

Messed up teeth from whitening!!???
I bought Aquafresh teeth whitening trays... 1st, my family naturally doesn't have sparkly white teeth... they look far from perfect... so i tried to whiten them.. i dint overdo it, and followed directions exactly... but after 2 days, i have my normal tooth color, with REALLY white spots... that are noticeable from close-up only, but also... my bottom teeth- the top half of them are really white, while the bottom half (of each tooth... the half closer to gums) is like my normal color................... how do i fix this!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????
Messed up teeth from whitening!!???
just keep applying the treatment. the warning lable usually states it may cause white spots.

What would cause dental pain even though the tooth is in perfect condition as per two dentists?
It is the last molar on my upper left.
What would cause dental pain even though the tooth is in perfect condition as per two dentists?
yeah, DJ's right. Any type of trauma to the teeth could cause pain. If you bumped it hard with a fork or something, it is like a bruise on the inside. It should go away in less than a week, if you stick to softer foods. Also, the sinus idea is very common. Try taking Sudafed and see if that helps at all. If it hurts more when you bend over, then it's probably sinus related.
I would stick w/ibuprofen for a few days if you can take that.
Reply:Some times sinus and or ear infections can cause you teeth to hurt. You might want to go to your regular doctor and have you ears and sinuses checked.
If you cough alot, your teeth can start to hurt from smacking together as you cough.
Good Luck %26amp; feel better

Q for men: Would a great personality trump crooked teeth?
I have been told I am pretty/cute and a very nice/caring person with a great personality. My one problem is that my teeth aren't all where they should be. Not rotting or anything, just crooked. If you met someone who was perfect other than noticably crooked teeth, would you look past that and still be interested, or would you walk quickly in the other direction?
(I am getting invisalign today- just thought I'd throw this Q out here....)
Q for men: Would a great personality trump crooked teeth?
It wouldn't bother you if you had a good personality and an otherwise attractive look. However, if you fix your teeth, you'll be a great catch.
Reply:Crooked teeth wouldnt matter that much.
Reply:You can always change crooked teeth but you can't change someone else's personality.
Reply:It depends on how crooked how great the personality is.
Reply:depends on how badly crooked teeth they are if it's minimal that's fine but if really looks bad then sorry speak to your orthodontist about getting something done about it.
Reply:we all have defects in some form or another.
some crooked teeth wouldn't bother me.
:)
Reply:It is hard to get past something like that. You find yourself looking at it constantly.
Reply:It's a heck of a lot easier to fix teeth than it is a personality.
Reply:Omg, look how shallow some guys are. Its terrible, but I wouldn't give up hope because I know a couple of woman that have the crazyiest crooked teeth ever and they are actually married.
Reply:If crooked teeth bothered them that much, you wouldn't want to be with them anyway.
Reply:I wouldn't care that much about crooked teeth. I probably wouldn't even notice if I was really into someone.

Has anyone used "Tooth Soap, the Perfect Perscription"?
if so, can you tell me about it and if you like it?
thanks!
Has anyone used "Tooth Soap, the Perfect Perscription"?
My wife and I have been using it for about a year now. It is good at cleaning your teeth (feels like you were at the dentist). It doesn't taste very good, but when you use it for a while, you don't notice (the citrus one is probably the best tasting).
My wife's teeth are bad, so we tried it and as of her last check-up, she hasn't gotten any new cavities and no longer needs the root canal that was previously needed.
This may seem miraculous, but we did switch dentists in between, so maybe the new dentist isn't as "root canal happy" or is not as observant.
It is also possible that the tooth soap just helped her teeth and gums. Its really hard to tell from a short time.
One conclusion I'd draw is that it doesn't work any worse than toothpaste and probably works a little better, because my teeth don't seem to be as sensitive to hot/cold as they were before.
You can always try it for a few months and see if you feel like its better. I do, but again, perception can play a big roll in that. I don't have scientific evidence or anything like that.
Reply:I'm using Dove soap unscented because the tooooo-comercialize-for-profit-multi-bil... Colgate failed me for the last 35 years. My principle is if you want to change result you need to change the other side of the equation. Expect results if you change the process. Start thinking outside the box.
Reply:If tooth soap worked it would be in every office in america and you'd be hearing about it everywhere. How amazing would it be if a product could really reverse the effects of decay? It may have some ingrediants that are good for your teeth but the only way to reverse decay is to see and dentist and stop it dead in its tracks and have your teeth restored.

I have been told I have the cutest smile..do you think I should insure my teeth, or is it another money scam?
I have all my teeth, and they are perfect except for 1 filling..
I have been told I have the cutest smile..do you think I should insure my teeth, or is it another money scam?
insuring your teeth is a waste of money unless you actually make money from them, such as a model, actress, entertainer, etc. if you are just average jane and work in an office, then get your teeth smashed one day, how could you file a big claim? you would need to report some sort of financial loss. the best you could get would be your dental bills, but nothing more. if your career depended on your teeth though, that is a different story.
Reply:Sure. If J. Lo can have her a** insured, why not your teeth?
I've got great boobs, perhaps I should have them insured too?
Reply:Just keep taking good care of your teeth. Ive been told I have the cutest eyes.
Reply:I like a woman with one toof....right in the middle........for eatin' corn.
Reply:if that's the new trend then i'm gonna insure my hoo hoo, it's fantastic!
